Der Gevrey-Chambertin Les Cazetiers von der Domaine Faiveley ist ein grosszügiger und kräftiger Pinot Noir mit einem komplexen aromatischen Profil. Er gilt neben dem Clos-St-Jacques als einer der besten Premiers Crus von Gevrey. Les Cazetiers verdankt seinen Namen seiner geografischen Lage im Dorf, direkt oberhalb des Schlosses. Wie die meisten Rotweine des Weinguts wird auch dieser Pinot 14 bis 16 Monate in Fässern ausgebaut (etwa zwei Drittel neues Holz).

Mingling aromas of sweet wild berries with rich bass notes of forest floor, spice and grilled squab, the 2018 Gevrey-Chambertin 1er Cru Les Cazetiers is medium to full-bodied, broad and concentrated, with rich structuring tannins, comparatively low acidity and a long, sapid finish.'Morris
Fine glowing crimson purple with a really well-balanced nose, was delicate when just Faiveley but the Dupont sector brought more clay and more weight. It is certainly ripe but it is also totally in balance, giving a pure and concentrated deep red fruit with some spices round the edge, and as always for this vineyard that mineral feel at the finish.
