Issue d'un des plus grands terroirs de l'appellation, « Les Cazetiers » jouxtent le célèbre Clos St Jacques, planté dans un sol d'une extrême pauvreté composé de marnes blanches et de bancs calcaires. Le sol très pauvre et la roche affleurante forcent les vignes à se frayer un chemin en perçant le calcaire. Les rendements y sont très faibles mais de très haute qualité. Si vous êtes patients, vous attendrez une dizaine d’années pour l’ouvrir, sinon carafez le… Son bouquet est puissant et complexe et sa une texture en bouche veloutée sur des tanins solides.

Offering up notes of raspberries, vine smoke and orange zest, the 2023 Gevrey-Chambertin 1er Cru Les Cazetiers is medium to full-bodied, layered and textural, with a lively core of sweet, creamy fruit underpinned by sweet, powdery tannins and lively acids.Morris
Mid crimson. One of the wines which is a little more reticent on the nose. Now a little pepper, and some limestone minerals. Finesse more than weight, here on the white marl of the Clair holding of Cazetiers. Just the 1958 planting is in use as they have had to pull out the younger vines (1998 & 2012) for rootstock reasons. This is brilliant at the finish Drink from 2030-2036. Tasted Nov 2024.Degustation
