Der Pouilly-Fuissé Hors Classe Les Ménétrières der Domaine Ferret ist ein reifer und süffiger Chardonnay. Er wird aus 10, 20 und 40 jährigen Rebstöcken gewonnen. Der Ausbau im Holz (zu gleichen Teilen in neuen Fässern, Fässern mit einem Wein und Fässern mit zwei Weinen) dauert 9 Monate und wird dann um weitere 5 Monate in Edelstahltanks verlängert.

The 2021 Pouilly-Fuissé Les Ménétrières 1er Cru has a beautiful, expressive bouquet with yellow fruit, white linen and subtle limestone scents, showing fine delineation and beautifully integrated oak (as usual). The palate is well balanced with more weight than Ferret's other cuvées, beautifully balanced with perfectly judged acidity. It fans out on the finish with absolute confidence and should drink well for several years. This wine is a victory in a challenging growing season, though just four barrels were made in this year.
