Der Quinta de Vargellas Vintage Port 1995 von Taylor's ist ein reifer und geschmeidiger Portwein mit Noten von Confitüre und Schokolade. Der dichte und wohlschmeckende Gaumen, wird durch feste Tannine unterstützt. Dieser Jahrgangs-Port enstand auf den Parzellen des Gutes Vargellas im Osten des Douro Tals, einem Gebiet mit einem Klima, das Portos hervorbringt, die bereits in jungen Jahren genossen werden können.

Saturated ruby. Brooding blueberry, cassis, licorice and mineral nose complicated by a whiff of smoked meat; easy to pick out as Taylor in a blind grouping. Very concentrated, palate-saturating black cherry and black raspberry flavor. Thick and round but vibrant and delineated. Impressive extract. Explosive finishing fruit goes on and on. A very powerful port, but much more accessible early than a classic vintage Taylor.Suckling
This is top class with so much perfume and flower aromas. Violets galore. Full body yet refined and tight with very powerful and polished tannins. This is racy and linear. Turns juicy, fresh and medium sweet. Reminds me of the excellent 1967 Vargellas.
