Le vignoble Finca Las Tapias est l'un des meilleurs du vaste vignoble de Marqués de Riscal. Il a été planté en 1968 sur des sols argilo-calcaires riches en fer. Situées dans la ville d'Elciego, les vignes ont été plantées de manière traditionnelle avec des greffons de Tempranillo provenant d'un ancien vignoble du domaine, réputé pour sa grande qualité. Seuls les meilleurs raisins de cette parcelle sont sélectionnés pour produire la cuvée Tapias.

The deep and dramatic nose of damson plum, soy sauce and cocoa powder pulls you into this enormous, rich and very concentrated Rioja. The tannins are so fine that this already feels silky, in spite of all the power. Seriously dry, but almost perfectly balanced at the long, chocolatey finish. The French oak is impeccably integrated. Delicious now, but great aging potential! The first vintage of this wine. !00% tempranillo from a 2.5 hectare section of the high-altitude, terraced Tapias site in Rioja Alavesa.
