Montevetrano ist ein grosser Wein aus Campania, von der Appellation Colli di Salerno. Der von Kritikern hoch gelobte Wein ist eine Assemblage aus vorwiegend Cabernet Sauvignon. Der charaktervolle, grosszügige und komplexe Wein wurde vor der Abfüllung in Flaschen 12 bis 14 Monate in Barriques (50% neues Holz) ausgebaut. Montevetrano ist das Flaggschiff des biodynamischen Weinbaus in Italien und bietet reine, rassige Weine, die sich gut in ihrer Jugend trinken lassen, aber auch lange gelagert werden können.

I have always admired the 2006 Montevetrano for its powerful, intense personality. Today the 2006 is austere and unyielding but it seems pretty clear this gorgeous wine simply needs time in bottle, as hints of beautiful inner perfume occasionally make an appearance in the glass. Imparato calls 2006 a very challenging vintage. Still, it would appear this is a magical Montevetrano. All that is required is patience. Anticipated maturity: 2016-2026.Vinous
