Der Barolo Ginestra Casa Matè von Elio Grasso stammt von 40 Jahre alten Reben in der Gemeinde Monforte d’Alba. Er wird auf klassische Weise in großen 25-Hektoliter-Eichenfässern (botti) ausgebaut und anschließend in der Flasche verfeinert. Der Ginestra Casa Matè ist ein Wein von großer Tiefe, Intensität und beachtlicher Fülle. Die zuletzt verkosteten Jahrgänge sind hervorragend!

The Barolo Ginestra Casa Matè is terrific. Deeply pitched spice, menthol and pine overstones give the 2022 its characteristic balsamic notes. Pliant and deep, with stunning balance, the Casa Mate is without question one of the wines of the vintage. Polished, silky tannins and a burst of red-toned fruit ponctuate the finish. This is sublime stuff.
