Au Closeau est un 1er Cru de Gevrey-Chambertin vinifié au domaine Drouhin-Laroze. Charmeur et expressif, il offre un profil aromatique gourmand. Ce lieu-dit de petite taille (0,53 hectare) est situé en face des Mazis-Chambertin et repose sur un terroir où se mêlent roche et argile. Il est élevé en barriques neuves (40%) et d'un vin.

Full but fresh ruby purple. There is a little more immediate fruit concentration here, a fresh raspberry. Caroline notes that they had to be very careful here on the deeper soil, but they managed the yield and this shows in the result here which is nicely disciplined, all in red fruit. Drink from 2029-2035. Tasted Nov 2024.
