This cuvée is generally the domaine's most accessible and demonstrative grand cru, even if its aging potential is of course considerable, but the 2022 Charmes-Chambertin Grand Cru is a little more overtly serious out of the gates than usual. Offering up notes of sweet cherries and red berries mingled with peony, orange zest and smoke, it's full-bodied, ample and enveloping, with a layered core of fruit structured around sweet, powdery tannins and lively acids. - WK 01/2024
