Der Ermitage Les Greffieux ist ein Syrah von Michel Chapoutier, der am Fusse des berühmten Hermitage-Hügels entsteht. Er ist dicht und von grosser aromatischer Kraft (schwarze Früchte, Oliven), ein Wein, der für die Lagerung geschaffen ist. Er wird 14 bis 18 Monate in Fässern ausgebaut (etwa ein Drittel neues Holz).

While the 2007 Ermitage Les Greffieux is an outstanding effort, it is dwarfed by the brilliance of the 2006. An attractive dark ruby/purple color offers up notes of blueberries, blackberries, road tar, earth, and spice box. The wine possesses beautiful fruit, crisp, tart acidity, a hint of figs, and a long finish. Consume this lovely 2007 during its first two decades of life.Vinous
Full red. Spicy red berries and cherry on the nose, along with scents of fresh rose, violet and Asian spices. Reminiscent of pinot noir in its precision and red fruit personality, offering sweet floral pastille and succulent herb notes. Very fresh and focused on the finish, which leaves mineral-laced red fruit notes in its wake.
