Der Volnay Les Chevrets von der Domaine Henri Boillot ist von grosser aromatischer Reinheit. Er ist lebhaft und elegant, bietet jedoch einen vollmundigen und grosszügigen Geschmack (Noten von kompottartigen Früchten) und ruht auf seidigen Tanninen. Dieser fruchtige Premier Cru wird während seines Ausbaus mit 50% neuem Holz ausgebaut.

(from four parcels of vines between 40 and 60 years of age; fruit in the lower section of the vineyard was wiped out by the frost): Healthy medium red. Slightly reduced nose conveys and medicinal dark raspberry aroma. Then fine-grained and graceful in the mouth, conveying an impression of delicacy to the flavors of raspberry, currant and flowers. Finishes quite suave and long, with very refined tannins. The Boillots made just 10 barrels in place of a normal 30, 3 of them new.
