Au Closeau ist ein 1er Cru aus Gevrey-Chambertin, der im Domaine Drouhin-Laroze vinifiziert wird. Charmant und ausdrucksstark bietet er ein genussvolles, aromatisches Profil. Diese kleine Lage (0,53 Hektar) liegt gegenüber den Mazis-Chambertin und ruht auf einem Terroir, in dem sich Gestein und Ton vermischen. Er wird zu 40 % in neuen Barriques sowie in einjährigen Fässern ausgebaut.

Full but fresh ruby purple. There is a little more immediate fruit concentration here, a fresh raspberry. Caroline notes that they had to be very careful here on the deeper soil, but they managed the yield and this shows in the result here which is nicely disciplined, all in red fruit.
