Den Clos de Tart, einen Grand Cru aus Morey-Saint-Denis, muss man nicht mehr vorstellen. Er ist zugleich raffiniert und kraftvoll, konzentriert, seidig und großzügig. Er basiert auf einer edlen Tanninstruktur, die ihn zu einem Wein mit großem Reifepotenzial macht. Der Clos de Tart reift 20 Monate in Eichenfässern, bevor er vor der Abfüllung assembliert wird. Jede Flasche bringt die Quintessenz dieses legendären Monopole-Terroirs zum Ausdruck und bietet eine wunderbare, komplexe Harmonie.

The plot known as Jeanniard has been promoted to the grand vin. 60% new wood, 52% whole bunch vinification across the whole cuvee but variable plot by plot. No press wine was used for the grand vin (as was also the case in 2020 and 2021). A bright purple with slightly darker centre but no darker than La Forge. The bouquet though has a great deal more breadth and depth. This is very muscular, with tannins at the finish which are very plentiful yet supple enough, and a heart to the dark berry fruit over and above what La Forge could offer. A little spice too at the finish, either from the whole bunch or typical of Tart. Enough acidity without it being a major feature. I look forward to seeing this in bottle next year to see if I can find the 5th star. Drink from 2032. Tasted Nov 2023.Degustation
