Les Forts de Latour wird als der beste Zweitwein von Bordeaux angesehen. Dieser Pauillac wird sein grosser Bruder, der Château Latour vinifiziert, aber die Assemblage enthält mehr Merlot (der in seiner Jugend zugänglicher ist). Für den Ausbau wird 50% neues Holz verwendet. Les Forts de Latour ist ein dichter und tiefer Wein, der dem Stil des Weinguts treu bleibt.

The 2016 Les Forts de Latour is superb, unwinding in the glass with notions of blackcurrants, wild berries, sweet loamy soil, cigar wrapper and English walnuts. Medium to full-bodied, deep and layered, it’s concentrated and tightly wound, with superb depth at the core, lively acids and ripe, powdery tannins.
