The 2021 Y d'Yquem is delicate, understated and quite pretty. This is the first vintage in which Sémillon begins to take on greater prominence in the blend, although vintage characteristics make that less evident than it might otherwise be. Citrus confit, mint, jasmine and white pepper are beautifully lifted. The 2021 can be enjoyed for its freshness. Opening a bottle now is certainly not a crime. It is an especially airy, lifted Ygrec.
