Bright violet. Smoke- and spice-accented dark berries, licorice candy, musky earth and a violet flourish on the deeply perfumed nose. Sappy, fleshy and broad in the mouth, offering concentrated bitter cherry and blueberry flavors that show no rough edges and turn sweeter with air. In an ample style, but there's impressive energy here as well. Finishes broad, floral and very long; fine-grained tannins add shape and gentle grip. Drink: 2022-2028.
