Full ruby. Intense, spice-laced dark berry liqueur, vanilla, cola and licorice aromas and a suggestion of candied flowers. Densely packed blackberry and bitter cherry flavors open up steadily with aeration and pick up suave five-spice powder and mocha flavors on the back half. Becomes sweeter and more lively as it opens up. Shows outstanding energy and dark fruit thrust on the impressively long, gently tannic finish, which leaves behind a suggestion of spicecake. Drink: 2022-2028.
