The "Leyenda" (meaning "legend" in Spanish) and "Selección Homenaje" (meaning "selection tribute") names highlight the rum's purpose: to honor the legacy of the Brugal brand and its founder, Don Andrés Brugal Montaner. 

Brugal Leyenda Selección Homenaje undergoes a unique double-aging process: in American white oak barrels that previously held bourbon, imparting vanilla and oak notes. Then, it is further aged in Spanish ex-Oloroso sherry barrels, adding a layer of complexity and sherry notes. 

Aroma: Sweet, fruity notes of dates, figs, sultanas, plums, and peaches, with hints of honey and sherry. 

Taste: Smooth, sweetly balanced with honey and red fruit flavors.
