Le Plateau von der Domaine des Bosquets wird seit der Einführung der Cuvée Parcellaires 2016 produziert. Infolge seines geringen Volumens wird er nun in offenen Demi-Muids vinifiziert. Sehr alte, fast reine Mourvèdre-Trauben, ergänzt durch mehrere Rebsorten (Grenache/Syrah/Cinsault/Counoise/Clairette). Le Plateau ist ein langer, rassiger und mineralischer Wein, mit enormen Reifungspotential. 18 Monate Ausbau in sehr alten Demi-Muids (600 l).

All Mourvèdre brought up in used demi-muids, the 2020 Gigondas Le Plateau is a more focused, straight, structured wine. Giving up notes of darker berry fruits, some dusty earth, spice, and peppery herbs, it's medium to full-bodied, has lots of tannins, terrific mid-palate depth, and outstanding length. This concentrated, burly, powerful Gigondas needs 3-4 years in the cellar and will cruise for 15-20 years. It's a gorgeous bottle of wine. - JD 03/2023
