Bouchard Père & Fils ist Eigentümer von 39 Aren dieses Grand Cru, die auf diesem Terroir mit ton- und kalkhaltigem Untergrund besonders gut gelegen sind. Die Lage der Parzelle am Ende des Tals Combe d'Orveau schützt die Reben vor dem Wind. Diese ist auf einem starken Gefälle von 13 % mit einem steinigen Belag gepflanzt, der ideal für Pinot-Noir ist. Der Wein wird 12 bis 14 Monate in französischen Eichenfässern ausgebaut, wobei 45 bis 60 % der Fässer neu sind.

Medium deep crimson purple. The oak shows a little on the nose. This dances at the front of the palate but the tannins are a little firm behind, with some sandalwood at the finish. Not quite singing today. Drink from 2030-2038. Tasted: October 2023.Degustation
