More reserved than the outgoing Chapelle-Chambertin, the 2024 Chambertin Clos de Bèze Grand Cru (Domaine Louis Jadot) unwinds in the glass with notes of raspberries, incense and petals. Medium- to full-bodied, deep and layered, with a fleshy core, powdery tannins and an expansive finish, it's a fine effort.

A single 450-litre barrel only. Mid crimson. Strawberries and alpine strawberries make up a low key but beguiling bouquet. No more than medium bodied, stylistically the great class of this appellation is there, but perhaps not the majesty. Drink from 2032-2038. Tasted Oct 2025 by Jasper Morris MW.
