Vinous
The 2024 Vosne-Romanée Les Suchots 1er Cru has a lovely nose, pure dark berry fruit laced with pressed violet and iris flower, seemingly unperturbed by the traumatic growing season. The palate is medium-bodied with quite grippy tannins, more backbone than the Clos des Fôrets, although there is a slight herbaceousness on the finish, almost as if there were stems in the mix. Still, I admire the freshness and sapidity and it should age well in bottle.Morris
A little more colour than Clos de l’Arlot, but that’s always the case. Very little nose as yet. Starts out quite lean on the palate but does build somewhat with the vintage mix of strawberry and fresh raspberry. Good acidity. There might be a suggestion of pyrazine or earth behind, but barely noticeable. The Suchots has not yet come together. Drink from 2029-2034. Tasted Nov 2025 by Jasper Morris MW.Degustation
