Le Estate Pinot Noir de The Hilt est un pinot classique de Santa Rita Hills AVA en Californie. Il exhale des cerises et des épices avec de légères notes de terre et de fumée. Le vin est sérieux tout en restant accessible et ouvert. Les tanins soyeux rendent ce vin séduisant. Le domaine The Hilt appartient à Stan Kroenke, qui est également propriétaire de l’iconique domaine Screaming Eagle et du domaine Bonneau du Martray en Bourgogne. Le célèbre œnologue Matt Dees se charge des vinifications des vins du domaine.

The 2019 Pinot Noir Estate is a gorgeous introduction to the vintage at The Hilt. Pliant and layered, the 2019 is a very serious wine at this level. Dark red cherry/plum, spice and lavender are all perked up by the wine's brightness. The 2019 is appealing and quite accessible, but it has a good deal of grip, too. More backward and tight, the light gold-colored 2017 Chardonnay Vanguard offers a vibrant, crisp bouquet of sliced green apple, salty minerality, citrus, and hints of flowers.
