Description

Wineadvocate

The 2017 For Her is a co-fermented blend of 54% Syrah, 32% Graciano and 14% Viognier. It has a medium to deep ruby color and is scented of blueberry jam, boysenberries, baked blackberries and pie spices with touches of mint leaves, blood orange, charcuterie, pepper, grapefruit peel and flowers. The medium to full-bodied, very silky palate spreads its wings to red, blue and black fruits with pretty floral and citrus accents, with powdery tannins and fantastic freshness to lift the long, layered finish. This is lovely! - EB 02/2020

Vinous

Glass-staining violet. Displays expansive aromas of blackberry and boysenberry, with exotic spice, candied violet and incense notes building in the glass. Sappy and energetic on the palate, offering densely packed, mineral-tinged black and blue fruit and cherry liqueur flavors and a peppery nuance that adds back-end spiciness. The floral notes comes back strong on an extremely long, focused and vibrant finish that features harmonious tannins and lingering mineral and spice flourishes. - JR 02/2020

Dunnuck

The 2017 For Her is a riper, sexier wine compared to the cool-climate style of the Chloe cuvée and offers a rocking bouquet of exotic, black and blue fruits, ground pepper, melted licorice, and candied orange peel. It's rich, full-bodied, loaded with fruit and texture, and is impeccably balanced. The purity of fruit is just about off the charts and this beauty is easily up with the crème de la crème in the vintage. Based on 54% Syrah, 32% Graciano, and a whopping 14% Viognier, all co-fermented and aged 14 months in 40% new French oak, it’s pure Paso Robles magic and will keep for 10-15 years. Unfortunately, there are only 250 cases produced.
