Le Barolo Rocche dell'Annunziata (Torriglione) de Roberto Voerzio est l'un des grands crus du village de La Morra. Extrêmement élégant, il offre un des plus beaux nez de la région et repose sur une trame tannique fine et soyeuse. L'élevage de 24 mois est réparti entre barriques et fûts (pas de bois neuf) et précéde un affinage de 8 mois en cuve inox.

Sweet fruit flavors of cassis and dried cherry are backed by savory tones of leather and cigar box. Sweet tannins render a more immediately approachable wine. Anticipated maturity: 2015-2025. The wines of Roberto and Davide Voerzio offer a fitting conclusion to this tasting of Piedmont’s best red wines. These are stunning wines that capture, head on, the beauty of the 2009 vintage. The 2009 Barolo Rocche dell'Annunziata/Torriglione explodes from the glass with freshly cut flowers, spices, mint and sweet red berries, all hallmarks of this great site. In 2009 the Rocche is pure sensuality and grace. Layers of fruit continue to build to the silky, totally expressive finish. There is so much to like here in this deceptively medium bodied, utterly impeccable Barolo. Drink: 2017-2029.
