Cette appellation Grand Cru, rattachée au village de Flagey-Echezeaux, recouvre une grande diversité. La Maison Bouchard Père & Fils est propriétaire de 39 ares particulièrement bien situés sur ce terroir au sous-sol argilo-calcaire. La situation de la parcelle, au fond du vallon de la Combe d'Orveau, met très opportunément la vigne à l'abri du vent. Celle-ci est plantée sur une forte pente de 13% avec un revêtement caillouteux idéal pour les plants de pinot noir. Elevé 12 à 14 mois en fûts de chêne français, avec 45 à 60% de fûts neufs.

Medium deep crimson purple. The oak shows a little on the nose. This dances at the front of the palate but the tannins are a little firm behind, with some sandalwood at the finish. Not quite singing today. Drink from 2030-2038. Tasted: October 2023.Degustation
