Château Le Gay est situé au nord de Pomerol. Ses neuf hectares de vieilles vignes (50% merlot, 50% cabernet franc) offrent naturellement un rendement minuscule souvent en-dessous des 20 hectolitres par hectare. L'élevage du Château Le Gay prend place en fûts de chêne et dure 18 à 20 mois.

The 2021 Le Gay offers up aromas of cherries and berries mingled with aromas of mint, vanilla pod and creamy new oak. Full-bodied, layered and fleshy, it's rich and layered, with a fleshy core of fruit framed by plenty of extract and oak tannin. The 2021 Le Gay is a powerful, tightly wound wine, its mid-weight structure notwithstanding. It will be interesting to see where this goes. Le Gay se révèle avec beaucoup de pertinence, de manière cadrée, précise. De bonne densité, le vin affiche du charme, mais également de la vigueur. L'on a visiblement été très attentif à la finesse, à la délicatesse et cette décision s'avère très sage. Elle permet au vin d'exprimer ses excellentes aptitudes, même dans un contexte compliqué.
