The 2022 Gazin is seriously impressive. Elegant and lifted, the 2022 is one of the most refined, understated wines in all of Pomerol. Bright red-toned fruit, blood orange peel, chalk and white pepper lend brilliance throughout. Readers will find a Pomerol built on persistence, energy and mid-weight structure more than size. Superbe bouquet où intensité, fraîcheur et subtilité créent une symbiose exceptionnelle ! L'harmonie est assurée grâce à des nuances de menthe poivrée, de pivoines et de baies noires. En bouche le vin affiche un côté crémeux, mais également du pep et même de la salinité en finale. Les tannins sont soyeux, veloutés, crémeux et offrent un excellent support, tout en étant secondés par la structure acide. Cette dernière plébiscite la finale tant au niveau de l'intensité que de la persistance. - 04/2023

Dunnuck

Lots of spiced black cherries, currants, chocolate, and spicy notes emerge from the 2022 Château Gazin, a richer, medium to full-bodied Pomerol with plenty of mid-palate depth, building tannins, and outstanding length. The tannins will need to be watched here, but this is clearly an outstanding wine in the making. - 05/2023
