Le Pommard "Rugiens" d'Henri Boillot offre une interprétation intense et énergique de Premier Cru réputé. Il offre des arômes de fruits rouges suivis de notes minérales, ferreuses et de poivre blanc. En bouche, on découvre un vin soyeux aux tannins nobles. Ce "Rugiens" voit une part importante de bois neuf lors de son élevage (jusqu'à 50%).

The 2017 Pommard 1er Cru Les Rugiens is quite serious and reserved, both in the context of Boillot's range and in the context of the vintage. Offering up aromas of plums, cassis, warm spices and toasty new oak, it's medium to full-bodied, dense and firm, with good concentration, fine-grained but chewy structuring tannins and a long finish.Morris
Rather a darker colour than the Caillerets and with a much firmer more brooding dark fruit. The clay shows. There is a wonderful weight here, a rich grainy texture, dark fruit, plums, just short of raisins, but clearly ripe and a fine long heady finish. Impressive. Tasted: November 2018.Degustation
