Le Clos Vougeot de Louis Jadot est un vin intense et long, porté par des notes de fruits rouges et de réglisse. Il est élevé 18 à 20 mois en barriques. La Maison Louis Jadot est le plus important propriétaire de ce Grand Cru, avec environ 2,5 hectares de vigne.

The 2021 Clos Vougeot Grand Cru (Domaine Louis Jadot) has turned out very well, exhibiting aromas of sweet cherries, berries, petals and spices, framed by toasty new oak. Medium to full-bodied, ample and layered, it's deep and muscular, with fine balance and a penetrating finish. This cuvée is now harvested in two picks, one week or so apart, instead of all in the same day.

A pink purple colour of medium density. Correct density on the front of the palate then really quite a brutal tannin at the back. The bouquet is not showing much yet and the palate is a bit grumpy. The Clos Vougeot is going through a surly stage but should deliver in due course. Drink from 2028-2035.
