Produced from grapes harvested the fourth week of October, the 1998 Gewurztraminer Rangen de Thann Clos St. Theobald Selection de Grains Nobles has an intensely ripe, fruit-packed nose. On the palate, it displays outstanding balance, loads of smoky and earthy white and yellow fruits, as well as huge concentration, sweetness, and length.

Vinous

Deep yellow color. Roasted, spicy, oily, clove-scented nose. Dense and oily in the mouth, but surprisingly easy to drink. This is stylish rather than massive, with lovely freshness of fruit and a texture like liquid silk. Its 120 g/l r.s. are nicely leavened by fresh acids and 14% alcohol. Can be enjoyed now or aged for a decade or more.
