Der berühmte Premier Cru Clos Saint Jacques in Gevrey-Chambertin wird nur von sechs Weingütern bewirtschaftet. Auf Reben im Alter von 47 bis 62 Jahren kultiviert, zeigt dieser Wein von Bruno Clair bereits eine beeindruckende Noblesse. Dieser Premier Cru überrascht Liebhaber großer Burgunder häufig, da er eine sehr besondere Komplexität entfaltet, die oft sogar über jener von Grand Crus liegt. Am Gaumen ist er sehr charakterstark und kraftvoll. Seine Persistenz ist schlichtweg außergewöhnlich.
Ein Wein mit sehr großem Lagerpotenzial, den man über die nächsten 20 Jahre hinweg genießen kann.

The 2023 Gevrey-Chambertin 1er Cru Clos Saint-Jacques offers up aromas of wild berries and plums mingled with orange zest, rose petals and violets. Medium to full-bodied, concentrated and lively, with a fleshy core of fruit and sweet structuring tannins, it's another terrific cuvée from this reenergized domaine.Morris
Mid crimson. Super sensual straight away on the nose. Immediate natural class here, though not the most concentrated Clos St-Jacques. Once again, they seem to have hit the cusp of red and black. A fine long graceful finish. Drink from 2030-2038. Tasted Nov 2024.Degustation
