Vinous

Saturated, bright ruby-red. Cool, spicy aromas of black cherry, minerals, licorice and smoke. Dense, chocolatey and superripe but with terrific freshness and inner-mouth aromatic character. Complex flavors of cassis, kirsch, minerals and licorice persist on the building finish. This offers excellent flavor precision, with tannins perhaps even riper than those of the 2001. This cuvee always improves during the final months of elevage, notes Tardieu.
