Der frühere Name dieses Champagners, gewählt in den 1970er Jahren von Pierre's Eltern, war "Tradition". Der neue Name "Latitude" charakterisiert diese äusserst runde Cuvée mit ihrem reichen und charmanten Stil besser. Sie besteht ausschliesslich aus Chardonnays, die alle vom selben Breitengrad stammen: dem Süden von Vertus. Ein grosszügiges Terroir, dazu Trauben, die bei voller Reife gepflückt werden: Die Cuvée Latitude ist der festliche Champagner par Excellence und bewahrt gleichzeitig die charakteristische Reinheit von Larmandier-Bernier.

Based on the 2018 vintage and disgorged in April 2021, the latest rendition of Larmandier-Bernier's NV Extra-Brut Blanc de Blancs Latitude offers up generous aromas of ripe orchard and stone fruit framed by notions of freshly baked bread and honeycomb. Medium to full-bodied, broad and fleshy, the warm and sunny base vintage makes its presence felt in a wine that lives up to its moniker even more than it usually does. - WK 01/2022

The NV Extra Brut Blanc de Blancs Latitude 1er Cru is a powerful, driving wine that exemplifies the house style at Larmandier-Bernier. There"s real texture and breadth here. Citrus, dried almond, chamomile and crushed flowers build in a beautifully resonant, expressive Champagne that shows the natural richness that is common in the southern part of Vertus. This release is 60% 2018 and 40% a perpetual reserve that goes back to 2004. It"s fabulous. Dosage is 4 grams per liter. Disgorged: April, 2021. - AG 11/2021

This Blanc de Blancs champagne is anything but flashy and it might take a moment switch onto its wavelength. However, it has excellent depth and finely etched contours on the medium-bodied palate, the Amalfi-lemon character building as it aerates in the glass. Beautiful balance at the very long, rather rich but very dry finish. From biodynamically grown grapes. Drink or hold. - JS 12/2021
