Another success is the 2019 Puligny-Montrachet 1er Cru Les Combettes (Domaine Louis Jadot), a medium to full-bodied, tightly wound wine that offers up aromas of citrus zest, white flowers, toasted nuts and buttery pastry. Deep and concentrated, it's a fine proposition for the cellar. WKVinous
The 2019 Puligny-Montrachet Les Combettes 1er Cru has a very discreet bouquet, maybe without the same degree of complexity and terroir expression as the Les Referts. The palate is well balanced, offering orange peel on the entry, good weight and an appealing waxy texture. It just requires a little more tension and mineralité toward the finish to catch up with Jadot’s other Puligny Premier Crus. NMMorris
Narrow block with long rows, which always has ripened and lost acidity quickly. This is a powerful boy, but a little bit short and with some heat, rather the fate of Combettes in the last two vintages. Tasted: October 2020Degustation
