The 2009 Clos St. Denis is big and powerful yet also totally impeccable in its elegance. The Clos St. Denis shows gorgeous inner perfume and striking depth in its aromas and flavors. A beautifully nuanced, well articulated finish rounds things out in style. This is high class juice. Anticipated maturity: 2019-2029.Vinous
Medium red. Reticent but nuanced nose offers redcurrant, dried rose, mocha and sweet oak. Silky and lush in the mouth, with a creamy old-viney texture giving it more concentration and volume than the Clos de la Roche. This is altogether more lush. The long finish features very suave tannins and lingering saline and brown spice notes.
