Historiquement, cette cuvée s’appelait Tradition, ce nom avait été choisi dans les années 1970 par les parents de Pierre. Latitude a été choisi pour mieux caractériser cette cuvée tout en rondeurs et au style riche et charmeur. Elle est composée exclusivement de chardonnays provenant toujours de la même « latitude » : le sud de Vertus. Un terroir généreux et des raisins cueillis à pleine maturité : la cuvée Latitude est le champagne festif par excellence tout en gardant la pureté caractéristique des champagnes du domaine. Non millésimée, cette cuvée comporte 40% de vins de la réserve perpétuelle du domaine débutée en 2004.

The NV Extra Brut Blanc de Blancs Latitude 1er Cru is a powerful, driving wine that exemplifies the house style at Larmandier-Bernier. There"s real texture and breadth here. Citrus, dried almond, chamomile and crushed flowers build in a beautifully resonant, expressive Champagne that shows the natural richness that is common in the southern part of Vertus. This Blanc de Blancs champagne is anything but flashy and it might take a moment switch onto its wavelength. However, it has excellent depth and finely etched contours on the medium-bodied palate, the Amalfi-lemon character building as it aerates in the glass.
