Description
Le “Vin de Constance” est mythique. Très prisé durant le XVIIIème siècle et immortalisé dans les romans de Jane Austen et de Charles Dickens, il a complètement disparu en 1865 durant 100 ans suite à une épidémie de Phylloxéra qui a complètement dévasté le vignoble. En 1986, le domaine a été ranimé pour produire à nouveau Le Vin de Constance. Il est vinifié à base de 100% de muscat de Frontignan.
Riche et onctueux, il est aussi superbement racé et offre une magnifique palette de saveurs, de l’abricot sec aux figues, en passant par la vivacité de l’orange sanguine. La finale est légèrement épicée, soutenue par le thé vert.

Boasting a juicy and fruity nose, the 2017 Vin de Constance Natural Sweet Wine is pale gold in the glass with a delightfully concentrated stone fruit essences that sway with elements of white peach, nectarine, dried apricot, apple and quince purée before notions of jasmine honeysuckle waft from the nose. Medium to full-bodied, the wine displays a succulent peach nectar flavor as it effortlessly glides across the mid-palate, flaunting with elegance and finesse. The juicy acidity framed with the layers of fruit and floral context leaves me just staring at my glass while the wine continues to evolve and unfold in the mouth. This is really sensational as always with dried-apricot, dried-pineapple and honey character with salted nuts and hints of white syrup. It’s very sweet, yet energetic and intense.
