Notes de dégustation

Wineadvocate

The 2019 Bâtard-Montrachet Grand Cru (Maison Louis Jadot) is promising, bursting with aromas of citrus zest, buttered orchard fruit, toasted bread, fresh mint and white flowers. Full-bodied, rich and concentrated, it's layered and textural, with tangy acids and a saline finish. WK

Vinous

The 2019 Bâtard-Montrachet Grand Cru has a more nuanced and mineral-driven bouquet compared to the Bienvenues. It unfurls with green apple and dewy meadow scents, displaying fine definition. The well-balanced palate is quite spicy and vibrant,  delivering a fine bead of acidity and more penetration than the Bienvenues on the finish. There is a captivating spicy aftertaste, too. Give this 4 to 5 years in bottle. NM

Morris

Pale lemon colour. A little yellow fruit on the nose, but this is balanced nonetheless. There is a huge weight of fruit, with a certain exuberance, really attractive across the palate, in the end commendably light on its feet for Bâtard yet with all its constituent parts in place. The acidity behind helps here, nicely done. Tasted: October 2020
