Notes de dégustation
Wineadvocate
Delesvaux’ pale golden 2012 Anjou Authentique Vignes Françaises – from ancient, ungrafted vines, and vinified in barriques of mixed age – is a medium-bodied, lively and refreshing Chenin with a pure and straightforward nature. The aromas (yeast, walnut skins) are quite discreet initially (I got the lovely fresh and mineral-highlighted peach, apricot, and thyme flavors only the next day), but that does not matter as this is a wine for drinking rather than thinking. There are not that many Chenins with a similar clear and vibrant texture of fresh fruits and powdered rocks. Finally this is a very drinkable and unmasked dry Chenin from one of the finest sweet wine producers of the Layon river. I recommend to open the bottle, drink a glass, put the wine in the fridge for 24 hours and drink the wine the next day.
