The 2018 Terra di Rosso wafts up like a freshly-opened jar of wild berry preserves combined with hints of sweet sage and smoke. This fleshes out across the palate with creamy textures, delivering masses of ripe red and black fruits under an air of purpletinged florals and savory exotic spices. There’s so much pleasure to be found here, as it displays elegance and weight; yet it’s all nicely balanced. Hints of mocha and licorice linger, along with the gentlest tug of nuanced tannins. The 2018 may not be a wine for long-term cellaring, but it will make a lot of people happy over the next three to five years. - EG 01/2022
