The 2023 Grands Échézeaux Grand Cru, which was completely destemmed, has a more nuanced and slightly more mineral-driven bouquet than the Échézeaux. It takes a bit more time to unfurl in the glass, but it has immense purity of fruit. The palate is underpinned by fine tannins. It's by far the most elegant of Maxime Chuerlin’s 2023s, fanning out gracefully on the finish with real panache. What a fabulous Grands Échézeaux. Six barrels were produced.
