Château Sociando-Mallet 2023

Château Sociando-Mallet ist ein ausgezeichneter Rotwein aus dem Haut-Médoc. Er ist ein eleganter und rassiger Wein, der von einem Jahrgang zum anderen gleichmässig ist. Sociando-Mallet ist eine Assemblage, die von Cabernet Sauvignon (50%) und Merlot (40%) dominiert wird. Der Ausbau erfolgt nach einer klassischen Vinifizierung ein Jahr lang in neuen Fässern, gefolgt von einem sechsmonatigen Aufenthalt in Edelstahltanks, wodurch der Wein an Harmonie gewinnt.

The 2023 Sociando-Mallet is showing well, exhibiting aromas of cherries and cassis mingled with hints of pencil shavings and toasty new oak. Medium to full-bodied, deep and layered, it's lively and classically structured, with sweet tannins, bright acids and a penetrating finish. The blend is 50% Merlot, 47% Cabernet Sauvignon and 3% Cabernet Franc, which attained 14% alcohol. - WK 04/2024

The 2023 Sociando-Mallet is a deep, powerful wine. Black cherry, incense, blackberry, licorice and cloves add to an impression of somber gravitas. Unctuous and rich, the 2023 shows the natural intensity of the Merlot in this vintage. Sociando is pretty heady in this vintage. - AG 04/2024

Le vignoble de Sociando couvre 75ha en production. Les sols sont composés de graves et d'argiles sur un sous-sol argilo-calcaire. L'âge moyen des vignes est de 35 ans. Rendement de 48hl/ha en 2023. L'élevage se déroule dans 80% de barriques neuves et 20% de barriques d'un vin durant 12 mois. Le bouquet se révèle de manière filigrane et complexe en affichant de fines nuances de cassis et de cerises complétées par une touche de fraîcheur (thé noir, eucalyptus). De caractère linéaire, Sociando adopte un profil précis, élégant. Il se déroule sans accrocs, de l'attaque jusqu'à la finale et profite de l'apport de tannins exacts, aux grains fins, qui offrent une subtile puissance, communément avec la structure acide.
