Der Gevrey-Chambertin 1er Cru Champeaux von Dugat-Py ist ein schmackhafter und weiniger Pinot Noir mit feinen Tanninen und reichen aromatischen Nuancen. Er stammt aus einer etwa fünfzig Jahre alten Parzelle, wird traditionell vinifiziert und anschliessend 16 bis 18 Monate in neuen Fässern ausgebaut.

The 2013 Gevrey-Chambertin 1er Cru Champeaux had a touch of reduction on the nose, but there is clearly plenty of ripeness with lush black cherry and cassis aromas, here a little better defined than, say, the Fonteny at the moment. The palate is underpinned by silky smooth tannins, a crisp line of acidity and a nicely poised, harmonious finish that will be nigh irresistible. Superb.
