Der Estate Pinot Noir von The Hilt ist ein klassischer Pinot von Santa Rita Hills AVA in Kalifornien. Er verströmt Kirschen und Gewürze mit leichten Erd- und Rauchnoten. Der Wein ist seriös, bleibt dabei aber zugänglich und offen. Die seidigen Tannine machen den Wein verführerisch. Das Weingut The Hilt gehört Stan Kroenke, der auch das ikonische Weingut Screaming Eagle und das Weingut Bonneau du Martray in Burgund besitzt. Der berühmte Önologe Matt Dees kümmert sich um die Vinifizierung der Weine des Weinguts.

Leading off the Pinot Noirs, the 2017 Pinot Noir Estate reveals a deeper ruby/purple-tinged color as well as a ripe, sexy bouquet of black raspberries, cassis, scorched earth, violets, and background oak.
