Les Suchots liegt zwischen Romanée Saint Vivant und Richebourg im Süden und Les Echezeaux im Norden. Er vereint also den Reichtum von Richebourg und die Zartheit von Romanée Saint Vivant. Dieser Premier Cru wird etwa 3-4 Wochen lang in Tanks vinifiziert, um einen optimalen Ausdruck des Terroirs zu erhalten. Dann wird er für einen Ausbau von etwa 18-20 Monaten in Eichenfässern gelagert. Der Vosne Romanée Premier Cru Les Suchots ist ein weicher, konzentrierter Wein, der von samtigen Tanninen und einer wenig ausgeprägten Säure getragen wird. Dieser Wein mit einer sehr guten Persistenz ist sehr aromatisch, seine Typizität hebt Aromen von Kirsche, Erdbeere und Unterholz hervor.

Had I been told that the Jadot 2006 Vosne-Romanee Les Suchots was a Richebourg, I believe I'd have said it’s a good one. This is a meaty wine in both the sense that its flavors are carnal, and that it gives you a mouthful of flavor and structure to chew on. And beyond the animal elements here are a strong, rich cassis and blackberry fruit concentration, brown spices, and peaty, iodine-like, mineral notes. This is big-boned and explicitly solid wine, with a real tongue-tingling torrent of a finish, making it quite a contrast with the corresponding Beaux Monts, a wine very much in the elegant, buoyant mode common in this vintage, and with more mystery to its animal and mineral dimensions. I suspect this will be worth following for at least a decade.Vinous
Good deep red. Ripe, slightly high-toned aromas of blackberry, iron and iodine. Dense, juicy and sappy, with a lovely floral intensity giving it a light touch. Finishes with excellent length and enticing perfume. This seems every bit as fine as the 2005 at a similar stage.
