Château Sociando-Mallet 2021

Château Sociando-Mallet ist ein ausgezeichneter Rotwein aus dem Haut-Médoc. Er ist ein eleganter und rassiger Wein, der von einem Jahrgang zum anderen gleichmässig ist. Sociando-Mallet ist eine Assemblage, die von Cabernet Sauvignon (50%) und Merlot (40%) dominiert wird. Der Ausbau erfolgt nach einer klassischen Vinifizierung ein Jahr lang in neuen Fässern, gefolgt von einem sechsmonatigen Aufenthalt in Edelstahltanks, wodurch der Wein an Harmonie gewinnt.

The 2021 Sociando-Mallet takes some time to cohere in the glass, though it eventually offers attractive blackberry, brine and cedar scents. A very slight black truffle note lurks in the background. The palate is medium-bodied with fine tannins. This is a pretty Sociando, well-balanced and fresh, gaining depth toward the finish with a bright, sour cherry-edged aftertaste. - NM 11/2023
