Croix Canon 2022

Croix Canon ist der Zweitwein des Château Canon, einem Grand Cru aus Saint-Émilion. Der kräftige, aber nicht schwere Wein vereint Aromen von roten Früchten und Lakritze. Er Assemblage von Merlot und Cabernet Franc wird während 18 Monten ausgebaut. Nur wenige neue Fässer werden verwendet, um das aromatische Gleichgewicht des Weins zu bewahren.

A terrific effort that will likely number among the values of the vintage, the 2022 Croix Canon offers up aromas of dark berries, petals and warm spices, followed by a medium to full-bodied, ample and fleshy palate framed by supple tannins and concluding with a saline finish. Croix Canon est issu d'un vignoble de 11ha qui lui est entièrement dédié. Certains lors de Château Canon, sont parfois intégrés à Croix-Canon, mais pas en 2022. Une parcelle de 2ha de Merlot a été arrachée, donc actuellement le Cabernet Franc domine, avec pratiquement 60%. Certains ceps ont 60 ans. Le bouquet annonce de la fraîcheur au travers de notes florales et de garrigues. En bouche le vin a du caractère. Il est juteux, harmonieux et soutenu par des tannins compacts, parfaitement intégrés. Un vin linéaire, structuré, que l'on pourra déjà apprécier jeune, mais qui dispose d'un potentiel de garde respectable. - 04/2023

Very fine and polished with sweet tobacco and chocolate with green olives. Currants. Medium-bodied with fine and polished tannins with a lovely length. Friendly nature to this. Turns slightly salty. 75% merlot and 25% cabernet franc. - 04/2023
