80% decorticated (core stems removed), 100% new wood this year. Very dark purple in colour, the nose showing a little oak and not so much the fruit, for the moment, while the palate has an intensity of dense summer pudding fruit, though with lower acidity. The wood shows dry at the finish too – for now. If this all knits together it will merit the top end of the range. Drink from 2030-2038. Tasted Nov 2023.Degustation
