Notes de dégustation

Wineadvocate

The 2017 Corton-Pougets Grand Cru (Domaine des Héritiers Jadot) is showing brilliantly from bottle, wafting from the glass with an inviting bouquet of cherries, raspberries and red plums, mingled with notes of orange rind, sweet spices and flowers. On the palate, it's full-bodied, supple and enveloping, with velvety tannins, excellent depth at the core, succulent acids and a perfumed finish.'

Vinous

The 2017 Corton-Pougets Grand Cru has a very well-defined, fresh, complex bouquet of cranberry leaf, freshly tilled loam and wet limestone. The palate is medium-bodied with sappy red berry fruit and good grip, a little stocky, like the Corton-Grèves, but with a touch of precision. Perhaps this will be the pick of Jadot’s Corton Grand Crus.

Morris

Slightly the lighter of the two Cortons tasted. This is perfumed and racy with an attractive softness of fruit which turns towards a darker cherry, before coming up against a raft of firmer tannins which rather dominate the finish – for now, but give it time. Tasted: November 2018.
